Singing Mass Politicians Share Naughty and Kind Lists – NBC Boston

Who is on the naughty and kind lists of Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker, US State Senators, and other prominent politicians this holiday season?

They offered a preview of that as they sang Christmas carols with Alison King for NBC10 Boston’s annual “Political Harmony” video – though some were more open-minded than others. It’s politics, after all!

On the hot lists this year: the New England Patriots, of course (Attorney General Maura Healey, representing Jake Auchincloss), law enforcement (new U.S. Attorney General of Massachusetts Rachael Rollins), volunteers helping allies and veterans in Afghanistan (Rep. Seth Moulton), frontline workers in the midst of the pandemic (Rep. Lori Trahan) and “everyone” (Speaker of the House Ron Mariano).

Who was bad? Baker only knowingly laughed at the question, and for Healey, his list is “too long.”

But others shared a few responses. Senator Joe Manchin, who recently scuttled his fellow Democrats’ Build Back Better bill, was a priority for some (Trahan, Rep. Ayanna Pressley), while Senator Elizabeth Warren said: “I can think of about 50 Republican senators. ”But fellow senator Ed Markey’s cheeky list was waiting: it features the Patriots’ next opponent, the Buffalo Bills.

Watch the video to learn more, including Rollins’ thoughts on Santa’s surveillance techniques, merry holly carols, and Boston Mayor Michelle Wu at the piano.
