Retired businesswoman announces campaign to oust Rep. Dan Kildee
Mich. (WNEM)- Candice Miller, a retired businesswoman and Genesee County resident, announced she is running as a Republican against Rep. Dan Kildee, a Democrat, for Michigan’s new 8th congressional district.
“When I grew up, we said a prayer, pledged allegiance and honored our freedom,” Miller said. “Today, under the Biden-Kildee agenda, our future generation is learning to hate America, our freedoms are under threat, and Washington wants to control everything we do. As moms, grandmas, and citizens Ordinary, I’ve had enough. I’m running for Congress to make sure Washington reflects the values of the 8th District.
Miller said she worked for her family’s oil business which started in the 1960s.
Kildee currently represents the 5th congressional district, but will run in the 8th district after the maps are redrawn.
Miller thinks the Kildee surname has been recycled into politics for too long.
“It’s been almost five decades,” Miller said. “I’m not a politician and I don’t pretend to know everything, but I will vote in Washington in the best interest of the American people. Kildee turned out to be nothing more than a vote for Nancy Pelosi and Joe Biden.
She campaigns to stop government mandates, improve infrastructure, secure borders, and give every resident a chance to achieve the American dream.
Miller also focuses on education.
“Our educators should be teaching our students how to think, not what to think,” Miller said. “While guaranteeing parental rights. I am tired of the control of the far left and feel the need to speak for the majority of the American people with common sense. It’s time for the politicians to step aside and let the people run our country. »
