Piers Morgan hits out at UK politicians while hailing Ukraine’s ‘incredible leader’
Piers Morgan has told UK politicians to get ‘cojones’ as he admits his love for Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky amid their war with Russia
Piers Morgan has once again shown his support for Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky while criticizing British politicians.
The outspoken presenter, 56, raved about the Ukrainian’s actions as the country continued to battle against a Russian invasion on Tuesday.
Taking to Twitter, Piers declared his love for the president after his provocative speech.
The former Good Morning Britain presenter shared an image of the politician‘s Mirror front page image with his fist in the air and wrote: “Love this guy.
“Such an incredible, incredibly brave leader. If only our politicians had an ounce of his cojones. Good luck.”
He also criticized how the world had let Russian leader Vladimir Putin “bully” them as he commented hours earlier: “We know that Putin’s convoy is about to reach Kiev and start to murder many more women and children.
“We also know we can stop him with airstrikes entirely justified by his war crimes. But we won’t, because we fear retaliation. Putin bullied the world into shameful submission.”
A few days earlier, Piers had also shown his support for the Ukrainian comedian-turned-politician on Instagram.
Alongside a shared photo of Zelensky and Putin, the presenter wrote: “With every second this war continues, President Zelensky’s reputation as a strong, courageous and inspirational leader soars at the same rate as President’s reputation Putin to be a vile, cowardly, bullying thug.
“We are all with you @zelenskiy_official – keep fighting. #Ukraine”
Julia Bradbury was among those who commented on the post, saying: ‘It’s true. Now let’s see what we do.. I don’t hope we respond appropriately’
The words came after Prime Minister Boris Johnson, 57, said Putin, 69, had “chosen the path of bloodshed and destruction”, with Piers quick to make his feelings towards the president.
And many other celebrities have also expressed their support for Ukraine and its leader as the world watches the disaster unfold.
Friends star David Schwimmer also took to Instagram to share a post that read, “This is Volodymyr Zelensky. President of Ukraine.
“He’s Jewish. His grandfather fought the Nazis in World War II. Many of his relatives were killed in the Holocaust. He stands up to a dictator. Because he’s brave. Because he knows what happens if you don’t.”
He captioned the image asking his follower to donate and wrote: “Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky was asked to evacuate Kyiv at the request of the US government but refused the offer.
“Zelensky said ‘The fight is here, I need ammunition, not a round’.”
